Alcoholism Advertizement

This project pertained to something very near and dear to my heart; drunk driving prevention. In this ad I wanted to do something that go the audiences attention while addressing the subject at hand. The main point of this advertisement is to show that alcoholism is a lonely road. In order to emphasize the alcoholism I used a red font to highlight the word alcohol, and white for the rest of the text. The background of the advertisement is an image I found online that I did a live trace if in order to make it a little more interesting looking. This picture is an unlit road, that is supposed to symbolize the ominous path one will go down if they commit to alcoholism. The placement of the font was done so that the text would blend into the picture, shifting the audiences attention from text to image. The last thing I did to the advertisement was including the Mothers Against Drunk Driving logo in order to add legitimacy to the advertisement. Like most of my work I used a simple approach, but I feel that it is effective enough to get the point across to the advertisements audience.
